Description

1972 Gibson Les Paul Triumph Bass Walnut

Up for sale, an incredible and unique 1972 Gibson Les Paul Triumph Bass in a Walnut finish. Norlin era. Made in Kalamazoo, MI USA. All Original, stock with its Black tolex hard case.

11.0 Lbs, which is average for a Les Paul Bass.

This short scale bass guitar has an Incredibly comfortable Mahogany body and neck with rosewood fretboard. No volute, perfectly straight, allowing low action playing well all across the fretboard.

The two low impedance pickups with their control setup makes this instrument very unique. It sounds quite unique, somehow different from the EB’s and further more from the Ripper or Grabber.

Aesthetically, the guitar has been definitely used and there are some honest play wear, little dings, scratches and edge wear. The yellowed binding accross the body and neck along with the glossy nitro lacquer finish brings a killer look. The headstock is in great condition. The guitar still remains in great shape overall and it’s got tons of mojo over decades of honest playing.

The bass has been professionally set with a fresh set of D’addario strings and it plays great.

It will be professionally packed, insured and shipped out to Continental US only. Local Pickup in LA is also welcome at no cost.
